We recognize that many guitarists don't read standard music notation but would like to learn a little classical/finger style music. Music Tablature Notation is intended to bring classical/finger style guitar music within everyone's grasp. The aim of Music Tablature is to make it absolutely clear how the music is to be played and to do it in a way that requires the least amount of effort on the part of the student. This has the benefit of allowing the guitarist to concentrate on improving their playing without spending an inordinate amount of time working out which string and fret should be used. Many people learning the classical/finger style guitar spend more time working out what it is that they are meant to be playing than they do actually playing it. This makes progress very slow in the early stages, and as a result, many give up!

If you have had difficulty in the past trying to read music you will find that Music Tablature removes the need for such things as key signatures, sharps, and flats, so it will only take you minutes to learn how to find the notes on the fretboard. There are also detailed fingering instructions for both the left and right hands. The rhythm is indicated using the same symbols as standard music notation and therefore forms a natural progression to reading music should you be interested in the future. Don’t misunderstand us, we highly recommend that you learn to read music, but likewise, we acknowledge than many guitarists don’t. Hopefully you will try Music Tablature and it will inspire you to progress to Standard Music Notation at some point in the future.
